Jenkins runs to third RSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) freshman Tyler Jenkins was selected the River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Oct. 3-9. It is the third time this year he has pulled in the weekly honor.
Jenkins, from Barnesville, Ohio, won first place at the Royals XC Challenge hosted by Queens (N.C.) University. He won the blue division with a time of 25 minutes, 35 seconds in the 8,000-meter race. There were 231 runners in the race and schools from all three NCAA Divisions as well as NAIA and junior colleges.
