Garcia picks up RSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Sandra Garcia from WVU Tech was chosen for River States Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Oct. 10-16.
Garcia, a freshman from Zaragoza, Spain, had a big game in a 2-0 win over Rio Grande (Ohio). Garcia came up with 14 saves in 90 minutes to earn the shutout. She moved to No. 7 in the NAIA in total saves with 109 on the year.
