Campbell named RSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior Alyssa Campbell was named the River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Oct. 17-23.
Campbell, from New Brighton, Pa., earned the award for the second time this year by running a personal-best 5,000 meters at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. She ran 18 minutes, 4 seconds in the maroon race, which placed 14th out of 214 runners. The maroon race featured 17 teams mentioned in the last NAIA Top 25 Poll for women's cross country.
