FLORENCE, Ind. -- Midway (Ky.) University leads by six shots after the first round of the 2022 River States Conference Women's Golf Fall Preview held at Belterra Resort on Monday. The Eagles shot 336 as a team and will carry the lead into the final round starting Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. ET. 

The 36-hole event has eight teams competing at Belterra. Midway is six shots clear of second-place Indiana University East with a 342. Indiana University Kokomo is in third place at 349 with Brescia (Ky.) University one shot back at 350 to round out the top half of the field. 

St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) College and Oakland City (Ind.) University are tied for fifth each with a 371. The final two teams are University of Rio Grande (Ohio) (383) and Point Park (Pa.) University (387).

Quirine ter Meulen from Rio Grande is the individual leader after 18 holes. She shot 78, and her 6-over total is the only score under 80. She is two shots in front of the four players who are tied for second with an 80. 

Midway's Emilie Hill and Bree Russell both shot 80 to power Midway to the lead. Also in the tie for second are Annie Gillock from IU East and Hallie Hinton from Oakland City. 

The top three teams in the standings -- Midway, IU East and IU Kokomo -- will begins the final round on Tuesday at 8:50 a.m. ET from hole No. 1. The next three teams also start at No. 1 with an 8:00 a.m. tee time including Brescia, St. Mary-of-the-Woods and Oakland City. Point Park and Rio Grande start from No. 10 at 8:00 a.m. ET.
