RSC Men's Soccer Teams & Awards released
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2022 All-River States Conference Men's Soccer Teams & Awards are announced here at RiverStatesConference.com. The awards were voted on by the 10 head coaches in RSC women's soccer.
Selected were the All-RSC First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention. Also recognized are the RSC Champions of Character Team and the RSC Scholar-Athlete Team.
The first, second and honorable mention teams all included 14 players -- four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and two goalkeepers.
The RSC Champions of Character Team had one team member nominated by their head coach for best displaying the NAIA Champions of Character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
The RSC Scholar-Athlete Team honored those with a 3.25 GPA or higher who play women's soccer and have been at their current institution for at least two semesters.
University of Rio Grande midfielder Vilius Labutis was the big award winner taking home RSC Men's Soccer Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
WVU Tech was well-represented as well with RSC Defensive Player of the Year Enrique Ezuerro Lopez and RSC Coach of the Year Oliver Hewitt-Fisher.
