RSC M+W Cross Country Championship: Nov. 5 at IU Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. -- The 2022 River States Conference Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships are being held Saturday, Nov. 5 at Indiana University Kokomo. Eleven men's and women's teams will be competing with the winners in each gender gaining automatic team qualification to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships Nov. 18 in Tallahassee, Fla.

The men's 8,000-meter race will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET with the women's 5,000-meter race at 11:30 a.m. ET. An awards ceremony will take place at 12:45 p.m. ET. The championship will take place at the IU Kokomo Cross Country Course at Northview Church Kokomo located at 3409 200 W., Kokomo, IN 46902.

Live results will be available by Crossroads Timing. Live video was scheduled to be provided, but the adverse weather forecast has eliminated the chance for that.

The top five runners from each team will make up the team scoring. Sixth and seventh runners will count as displacers. The men's team winner and the women's team winner will advance to NAIAs. The top four individuals from each race not from the winning team will move on to nationals as individual qualifiers. Individual qualifiers must finish in the Top 15 placements of each respective race.

All-conference first team honors will be awarded to the top seven individuals in the men's and women's races. Finishers eight through 14 will be all-conference second team. Other awards include RSC Runner of the Year, RSC Newcomer of the Year and RSC Coach of the Year. The RSC Champions of Character Team and RSC Scholar-Athlete Team will also be named.
