Blevins gets RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Shiloah Blevins from University of Rio Grande (Ohio) was selected River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for his play Dec. 12-18. It is the second time this year he's claimed the award.
Blevins, a junior forward, averaged 23.5 points per game while shooting 68 percent in two victories for the RedStorm. He was 15 for 22 shooting in the two games, which included 5 for 7 from 3-point range and 12 for 13 at the foul line. He also averaged 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals for the week.
He led the RedStorm to a win over Alice Lloyd (Ky.) by sinking 7 of 11 from the field and 9 of 10 free throws for 25 points. That featured a pair of treys. Blevins stayed hot in a victory over Lourdes with 22 points on 8 for 11 shooting and 3 for 4 from the outside. He also tallied six rebounds and three assists in that game.
