Eze gets another RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete honor for Point Park (Pa.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park University sophomore Collins Eze hit the national standard for the triple jump for a second time to secure River States Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 7-13. The last time he did that, he earned the weekly honor as well.
Eze, from Lagos, Nigeria, hit the NAIA qualifying mark of 14.05 meters right on the number. That matched his previous best and qualifying jump. He placed seventh at Kent State to maintain his lead in the RSC for the event.
He also competed in the long jump with a distance of 6.54 meters for 14th place. He ranks second in the conference in that category trailing only a teammate. Next up is the RSC Indoor Track & Field Championship on Feb. 19 in Logan, Ohio.
