Aristizabal picks up another RSC Women's Tennis Player of the Week from Oakland City
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Liz Aristizabal led Oakland City (Ind.) University to a pair of conference wins to claim River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for March 21-27. It is her second RSC weekly honor this year.
The Bogota, Colombia, native kept the Mighty Oaks undefeated in RSC play by going perfect on the week individually. She won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a 7-0 team win over IU Kokomo. The singles match had her win the final two sets.
In a 7-0 team sweep of IU Southeast, Aristizabal won a first-set tiebreaker in No. 1 singles on her way to a 7-6(5), 6-4 win there. She also was apart of a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Oakland City is 10-6 on the year and 4-0 RSC. The Mighty Oaks host Ohio Christian on Friday.
