Campbell named RSC Baseball Player of the Week for No. 17 IU Southeast
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 17-ranked Indiana University Southeast had infielder Trevor Campbell hit four home runs on the week to earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance March 21-27.
Campbell, from Louisville, Ky., hit .350 in five games with his four homers and nine RBIs. That led the Grenadiers to a 4-1 week, which included a series win over Rio Grande (Ohio), two games to one.
IU Southeast dropped the series opener to the RedStorm despite two home runs and four RBIs from Campbell. He homered the next day to win the series with a 10-8 victory. Campbell started off his week with three hits in a doubleheader sweep of Georgetown (Ky.). That included a homer, a triple and four RBIs.
IU Southeast will be host Campbellsville (Ky.) on March 29.
