Campbell slugs RSC Baseball Player of the Week for No. 25 Point Park (Pa.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University freshman Jordon Campbell had two grand slams to highlight his week and earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week Feb. 28-March 6.
Campbell, from Sunrise, Fla., hit .467 (7 for 15) in five games as the Pioneers went 4-1. He hit three home runs, drove in 11 runs, scored six times, walked five times and was 2 for 2 in stolen bases.
Campbell started out the week with two home runs -- including a walkoff grand slam -- in a 10-7 win over Cornerstone (Mich.). His second grand slam of the week broke open a 10-3 victory in the conference opener versus Brescia (Ky.).
Campbell had four hits in the series sweep over the Bearcats with a double, a triple, a home run. Point Park is 9-4 and will be at Oakland City (Ind.) on Thursday and Friday.
