Brown gets RSC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for Midway (Ky.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky) University pole vaulter Nevaeh Brown hit the NAIA top standard to earn River States Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for April 11-17.
Brown, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., met the NAIA 'A' standard of 3.65 meters at the Brescia Bearcat Invitational. That placed first at the meet and hit the top standard right on the number.
She had previously reached the lower NAIA standard, but then she increased her personal best to this week's effort of 11 feet, 11.75 inches.
