Miller named RSC Men's Golfer of the Week from IU East
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University East sophomore Jake Miller won a tournament title to earn River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for April 25-May 1.
Miller, from Richmond, Ind., won medalist honors at the WVU Tech Golden Bear Classic to earn the honor. He shot rounds of 75 and 72 for a 3-over total after 36 holes. That put him in a playoff, and he won the second extra hole to beat a field of 70 golfers.
Miller led the Red Wolves to fourth place of 12 teams and the top finish among the several RSC men's golf teams in the tournament. It was the fourth tournament victory of the year for Miller.
