Pfefferkorn pulls in RSC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Makala Pfefferkorn from Indiana University Kokomo qualified for nationals in two jumps to earn River States Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors presented by Brown & Brown Insurance. It is the first conference awardee of the indoor season.
A native of Kokomo, Ind., Pfefferkorn qualified for indoor nationals in the long and triple jumps at the UIndy Season Opener. The sophomore hit the NAIA 'A' standard in both events placing second in the triple jump at 11.48 meters and fourth in the long jump at 5.6 meters.
