Fletcher named RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Chevaughn Fletcher from Point Park (Pa.) University was selected River States Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Jan. 9-15.
A freshman thrower from St. Catherine, Jamaica, Fletcher won both the shot put and the weight throw the Wooster Invitational. His performance helped the Pioneers win the team title at the meet.
Fletcher threw a PR of 14.26 meters in the weight throw, which ranks third in the conference. His toss of 14.59 meters in the shot put also won that event, and although it was short of his previous best that leads the RSC.
