O'Brien chosen for RSC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Conor O'Brien from Midway (Ky.) University is the River States Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 23-29.
O'Brien spearheaded the Midway defense for a pair of conference wins. He led the defense to a 1-0 shutout over Shawnee State in which he scored the game-winning goal.
The Eagles gave up just five shots on goal in the two games, including a 2-1 victory versus IU East. That secured a playoff spot for the first time since 2017.
