Roach claims RSC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Jayden Roach from University of Rio Grande (Ohio) claimed River States Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Feb. 6-12.
The sophomore from Baltimore, Ohio, won the 400- and 600-meter races at the Mt. St. Joseph Invitational this past weekend. Roach won the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.20 to beat the other 17 competitors. She followed that up with a victory in the 600 meters with a time of 1:41.19 in a field of 12 runners.
With those performances, Roach is ranked No. 1 in the conference for the 600 and No. 2 in the 400 entering the RSC Indoor Championships this weekend.
