Garczynski picks up RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Riley Garczynski from Indiana University Kokomo picked up River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Feb. 20-26.
The junior infielder from Wauwatosa, Wis., hit .583 on the week with seven hits in 13 at bats. That helped the Cougars split four games on the week. Garczynski did his part with a double, a triple, a homer and three multi-hit games on the week.
Garczynski was 2 for 3 with a walk and a run scored in a 6-2 win over St. Francis (Ind.). In another win over USF, he was 3 for 3 with a double, triple, two RBIs and two runs. Despite a 2-for-4 game for Garczynski, the Cougars lost to Madonna (Mich.).
