Campbell runs to RSC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Alyssa Campbell from Point Park (Pa.) University was selected River States Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Jan. 30-Feb. 6. It is her second weekly honor of the season.
The senior from New Brighton, Pa., was a part of two national-qualifying races at the Rutgers Open hosted at The Armory. She ran the NAIA 'A' qualifiying standard in the 3,000 meters for the second time this year. That was with a time of 9:59.94 to improve her previous mark. Campbell also ran the anchor mile leg of Point Park's national-qualifying distance-medley relay squad, which posted a time of 12:24 for the NAIA 'A' standard there as well.
