RSC Men's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll: Oakland City (Ind.) on top
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The 2023 River States Conference Men's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll has Oakland City (Ind.) University on top as the this year's conference favorite. The Mighty Oaks led the voting of the five RSC men's tennis head coaches.
Oakland City is coming off its RSC Men's Tennis Championship title in last year's conference postseason tournament. The Mighty Oaks beat IU East in the finals. This year, IU East is picked as runner-up in the preseason poll.
Oakland City received a total of 16 votes in the poll with four of the five first-place votes. IU East had 10 votes in the poll for second place. The Red Wolves were first place during the regular season last year.
Midway (Ky.) University was picked third in the poll with nine votes. The Eagles received the remaining first-place vote. Rounding out the poll in fourth and fifth place were Brescia (Ky.) University and IU Southeast with eight and seven votes, respectively.
