Campbell named RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University center fielder Jared Campbell was named River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for March 13-19.
Campbell, a junior from Sunrise, Fla., batted .583 going 7 for 12 with two homers and eight RBIs in a weekend series of three games. Campbell also scored five runs, doubled and walked as the Pioneers swept at WVU Tech.
Campbell was 2 for 4 in the opener with homer and three RBIs. He was also 2 for 4 with another homer and three RBIs later that day. Campbell finished off the series 3 for 4 with three runs, a double, a walk and two RBIs.
