2023 All-RSC Men's Tennis Teams & Awards
EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The 2023 All-River States Conference Men's Tennis Teams & Awards were recognized during the RSC Tennis Championships. The All-RSC First & Second Teams as well as the RSC Champions of Character Team, the RSC Scholar-Athlete Team and the big individual awards were recognized.
Francisco Perez Esnoala from Oakland City (Ind.) University was the big individual winner as the RSC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. It was a sweep for the Mighty Oaks with head coach Colin Dixon getting RSC Coach of the Year as well.
Perez Esnoala led the All-RSC First Team featuring six players. On there with him were Oakland City teammates Andres Perez, Nelson Ramos and Tomas Ojeda. Francisco Faundez from Indiana University East and Julian Lopez from Midway (Ky.) were also named to the first team.
The All-RSC Second Team had three players from Midway, two from IU East and one more from Oakland City.
The RSC Champions of Character Team named one player from each school nominated by their head coach for best displaying the NAIA character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
The RSC Scholar-Athlete Team recognized those with a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher competing in an RSC championship sports and being at their current institution at least two semesters. Brescia (Ky.) led the conference with six team members named.
