Midway's Dylan Brown named RSC SID of the Year 2022-23
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University sports information director Dylan Brown for the third time in his career has been selected as the River States Conference Sports Information Director of the Year. Brown, who just completed his seventh year with the Eagles, was voted to the award by his fellow SIDs in the conference as the 2022-23 award recipient. Brown is no stranger to earning this recognition, which he also received in back-to-back years of 2017-18 and 2018-19.
The River States Conference SID of the Year award was established in 2014-15. It annually recognizes one honoree for outstanding service and dedication to the sports information role in promotion of their student-athletes, school, conference and the NAIA. It is voted on by athletic directors and SIDs within the conference.
"It is no surprise that Dylan Brown has earned this award for a conference-record third time," said Kevin Taylor, RSC SID. "Dylan is extremely efficient, skilled and smart in how he approaches the profession and everything that goes into being an SID. He handles a big sports load at Midway and also lends his efforts to numerous RSC Championship events every year. We are grateful, and he makes his school and conference better with his efforts."
Brown is responsible for 30 sports at Midway. Several of those teams had successful seasons in the conference and national postseason with Brown providing the media efforts. The Eagles' athletic department had its highest finish of second in the RSC Commissioner's All-Sports Cup race. On the conference level, Brown once again provided championship support for the RSC men's and women's golf fall and spring tournaments, baseball and hosting in women's basketball.
