Kammler repeats as RSC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Aiden Kammler from Shawnee State (Ohio) University is the River States Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Jan. 22-28. It is the second week in a row claiming the honor.
Kammler, a senior from Portsmouth, Ohio, improved his already-national qualifying time in the 3,000 meters from the previous week. Kammler knocked five seconds off the earlier time this year by running 8:21.59 at Wittenberg to hit another NAIA 'A' national qualifying standard.
That time was a personal best as it was more than two seconds under what he ran at last year's NAIA indoor national meet. Kammler currently ranks No. 1 in the RSC and seventh in the NAIA for the 3,000.
