Duncan earns RSC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Sydney Duncan from Indiana University Kokomo is the River States Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Jan. 22-28.
Duncan, a freshman thrower from Anderson, Ind., hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the shot put to qualify for nationals. Her toss of 14.03 meters won the Olivet Nazarene Invite and is ranked No. 8 in the nation and No. 1 in the RSC.
She also placed third in the shot put at 14.62 meters, a mark that gives her another top ranking in the conference. Both of her distances this past week were school records.
