MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.

All awards represent contests played from Monday, November 11 through Sunday, November 17.

Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Defensive Player of the Week
Marcos Vazquez, Shawnee State | Jr. - Guard - Cleveland, Ohio
In contests against Wilberforce and Indiana-South Bend, Vazquez posted consistent production in every area en route to averaging 16.5 points, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals. Vazquez nabbed 13 defensive rebounds between the two games to average 6.5 per game in that department alone, and nabbed three steals in two games including the deciding steal that led to Vazquez's two game-winning free throws with six seconds left in a 75-74 victory over Indiana-South Bend. Vazquez helped Shawnee State rally from a 36-25 halftime deficit and a 74-70 deficit with 11.6 seconds left against the Titans, with Vazquez's steal on an inbound pass leading to the junior's game-winning free throws. 

Offensive Player of the Week
Lane Lauderbaugh, IU Southeast | Jr. - Forward - Greensburg, Indiana
Lane Lauderbaugh led IU Southeast to a 1-1 record on the University of the Cumberlands campus, making 26 of his 40 shots over two games. The 6-6 forward scored 35 points against the nationally-ranked hosts, then led the Grenadiers to a victory over Campbellsville with 28 points on 15 shots. In the first five games of the season, the Greensburg, Indiana native has scored 25 points per game, all while shooting 61.5 percent from the field.

Women's Basketball Players of the Week

Defensive Player of the Week
Jasmine Jordan, Rio Grande | Fr. - Forward - Ashland, Kentucky
Rio Grande's 6-2 freshman was a force on the glass in the RedStorm's blowout victory over Rochester Christian. Jordan pulled down 13 rebounds in the 107-67, with seven coming on the offensive glass and another six on the defensive end. Jordan has been dominant on the glass in each of her first four collegiate games, pulling down 48 rebounds over four games, all of which have been Rio Grande victories.

Offensive Player of the Week
Chloe McClain, IU Kokomo | Jr. - Guard - Kokomo, Indiana
McClain had a massive week for the Cougars, as the junior transfer became the focal point of the Kokomo offense. Across three games, the Kokomo native averaged 23 points per game, and shot better than 55 percent from the field in contests against Lourdes, Calumet, and St. Francis. The guard finished the week with a career-high against St. Francis on Saturday, pouring in 36 of the team's 63 points.
