Ogden named RSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Madison Ogden from University of Rio Grande (Ohio) is the River States Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. The first honoree of the season, the award is for all games through Feb. 18.
Ogden went 2-0 in two starts to lead the RedStorm to the championship at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga. In 12.0 innings, she allowed just one run and seven hits, struck out 16 and compiled a 0.58 ERA.
The right-hander went all 7.0 innings in a 3-1 win over Mobile (Ala.) with one run and six strikeouts. She pitched 5.0 innings in a 12-0 shutout of Johnson (Tenn.) striking out 10 and giving up one hit.
