Piccolino selected for RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Gillian Piccolino from Point Park (Pa.) University is the River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 12-18.
The senior guard from Pittsburgh, Pa., scored a career-high 32 points in the only game of the week for the Pioneers. She made six 3-pointers, shot 50 percent from the field (13 for 26) and also grabbed nine rebounds.
Piccolino made a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to bring the Pioneers back from a nine-point deficit and force overtime. Alice Lloyd (Ky.) won the game in the extra period, 77-73.
