Gray collects RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- William Gray from WVU Tech is the River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 19-25.
The junior second baseman from Rockwell, N.C., hit .450 with two homers and 14 RBIs in six games last week. It was a 6-0 week for the Golden Bears with Gray racking up nine hits, nine runs and four walks.
He was 2 for 3 in both games of a doubleheader sweep over Marian (Ind.). The first game had two home runs. Gray was 3 for 6 in a doubleheader win over Davis & Elkins (W.Va.) driving in three and walking twice. Finally, he had a pair of hits and three RBIs taking two games from Lourdes (Ohio).
