Stamps named RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Jalen Stamps from No. 22 Point Park (Pa.) University is the River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4.
A 5-10 point guard from Indianapolis, Ind., Stamps averaged 27.0 points and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 53 percent from the field and 45 percent (9 for 20) from the 3-point arc. He led the Pioneers to a pair of road wins.
Stamps started out with 26 points, four 3-pointers and six rebounds in a victory at Ohio Christian. He then had 28 points, five treys and eight assists in a win at WVU Tech. During the week, he went over the 1,000-point mark for his two years so far at Point Park.
