Berry picked for RSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Cassie Berry from Shawnee State (Ohio) University is the River States Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for March 18-24.
Berry, a senior from West Portsmouth, Ohio, was 3-0 in three starts in the circle on the week. She pitched 17.0 innings compiling a 2.06 ERA with 16 strikeouts and six walks. She gave up only five runs.
Berry started out with nine punchouts in 6.0 innings of a 5-2 win over Bluefield (Va.). She also picked up an 8-3 victory over WVU Tech in 4.0 nnings. She finished off with a complete game of 7.0 innings over Rio Grande (Ohio), 5-1. She gave up only one run on four hits in the victory.
