Fansler hits for RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Hunter Fanlser from WVU Tech is the River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 22-28.
A junior outfielder from Beckley, W.Va., Fansler hit .571 with two homers and 10 RBIs in three games on the week. He racked up eight hits, five runs and four extra-base hits.
Fansler was big in the RSC Championship Opening Round series win over IUPUC starting out 2 for 5 with an RBI and then going 4 for 5 with a triple, homer, three runs and five RBIs in the second game to clinch a series sweep. His week started out with a double, homer and four RBIs in a 13-11 win over Bluefield (Va.).
