DANIELS, W.V.- Midway University's dominance of the River States Conference Women's Golf Fall Preview continued on Tuesday, as the Eagles claimed the team title at RSC's fall showcase for the fifth consecutive year. Midway won the team title by eight strokes over runner-up Saint Mary of the Woods College, and swept the day with a win in the individual competition as well. The event was shortened to 27 holes, as inclement weather played a part in both days of the tournament at Glade Springs Resort Golf Course in Daniels, West Virginia.

Midway was the top team in the first round, shooting a team score of 318 on the first 18 holes of the tournament. Roughly half of the field finished their round on Monday, as inclement weather forced the premature end of the round. Those remaining on the course went back on the course Tuesday morning before the beginning of the second round. At the turn, Midway held a six-shot lead over Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and a nine-shot lead over Indiana University East.

The Eagles did not pull away on Tuesday, but were able to hang on to their lead. The Eagles and RedWolves of IU East tied for the top nine hole score on Tuesday, shooting a 154 on the front nine. Most groups had gotten onto the back nine before another stretch of inclement weather hit the course, ending the round and the tournament. As dictated by River States Conference rules, all scores reverted to their position after the ninth hole of the second round.

The battle for the individual medal came down to a dual between Midway's Kasey Cameron and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods' Renae Jaeger. Cameron opened up a three shot lead following the first round, shooting a one-over 73 to take the lead at the turn. After shooting a first round 80 to be seven shots back, Jaeger caught fire on Tuesday, shooting a one-under on the front nine. Cameron was able to hold off the Pomeroy, winning by two strokes.

The RSC Fall Preview puts the league's teams on the same course as the 2025 River States Conference Championships, scheduled for this coming April. The men's teams of the River States Conference will take center stage at Glade Springs next week, with the Men's Golf Fall Preview slated for September 30 and October 1.
