OXFORD, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.
All awards represent contests played from Monday, November 17 through Sunday, November 23.

Offensive Player of the Week
Markell Hood, Kentucky Christian | Sr. - Guard - Overland Park, Kansas
Hood was sensational in Kentucky Christian's Thursday victory over Alice Lloyd. The senior guard finished with 26 points and 14 rebounds, knocking down three three-pointers in an 83-68 victory. The Kansas native also added four assists from the guard position, and shot nearly 50 percent from the field, making eight of 17 field goal attempts.
Defensive Player of the Week
Quamar Hobbs, St. Mary-of-the-Woods | Jr. - Wing - Tampa, Florida
Hobbs made a major impact on the defensive end of the floor in SMWC's blowout victory over East-West on Monday. The junior from Tampla logged five steals in the victory, and added another nine rebounds in the Pomeroys' 97-67 victory. The Florida native narrowly missed out on a double-double, finishing the evening with ten points to go with his nine rebounds.

Cadence Stewart, WVU Tech | Jr. - Guard - Ronceverte, West Virginia
Stewart delivered the week’s most efficient offensive performance, scoring a game-high 21 points on 50 percent shooting. She hit two timely threes and added four rebounds while committing just one turnover in 31 minutes. Her fourth-quarter scoring helped Tech secure a tight 59–57 road win.
Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Hodgen, IU Kokomo | Jr. - Guard - Monticello, Indiana
Junior Hannah Hodgen was a force defensively over the weekend for IU Kokomo, helping lead the Cougars to a pair of wins as they improved to 3-2 on the year. Hodgen totaled six steals and six defensive rebounds between the pair of games, victories over Great Lakes Christian and Grace Christian.
