River States Players of the Week - October 27-November 2, 2025

OXFORD, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.

All awards represent contests played from Monday, October 20 through Sunday, October 26.

Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Jermayn Baxter, IU Columbus | Jr. - Forward - Indianapolis, Indiana
Baxter was the driving force behind IU Columbus' 77-74 victory over Kuyper on Friday. The forward made 15 of his 22 shots, finishing with 32 points. He also added five rebounds and three assists as the Crimson Pride picked up a road victory.

Defensive Player of the Week
Tyreon Payne, Shawnee State | Sr. - Guard - Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Payne, the lead guard for Shawnee State on both ends of the floor, was the engine for Shawnee State in both contests, holding Northwestern Ohio and Cumberlands (Ky.) to 40.1 percent shooting and a 23 percent mark from three-point range. 

Women's Basketball Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Jesse Ledgerwood, IU Southeast | Sr. - Guard - Washington, Indiana
Ledgerwood set a single-game school record with 39 points on 13-24 shooting in a win against Simmons College. The senior guard knocked down six three-pointers in the win, shooting 46.2 percent from long distance. She barely came off the floor, playing 38 of the game's 40 minutes.

Defensive Player of the Week
A'Lyrica Hughes, Midway | So. - Guard - Owensboro, Kentucky
Hughes had a pair of four-steal games to open the 2025-26 season, helping the Eagles to a 2-1 start. The sophomore had four steals in both of Midway's wins over Miami Middletown and Bryan. She also pulled down 23 rebounds on the week, including 12 against Tennessee Southern and 11 against Bryan.

Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

Attacker of the Week
Lexi Broyles, IU Kokomo | Sr. - Middle Hitter - DeMotte, Indiana
Senior middle hitter Lexi Broyles delivered an outstanding week in IU Kokomo's two victories, posting a remarkable .605 hitting percentage with 27 total kills and seven blocks. She was nearly unstoppable in the sweep of SMWC, hitting .688 with 12 kills, and followed it up with 15 kills on 27 swings (.556) in the win over Saint Xavier.

Setter of the Week
Carly Mason, IU Southeast | So. - Setter - Terre Haute, Indiana
Mason had a career-high 49 assists in a win over Brescia, averaging more than 12 assists per set. The sophomore also added 22 assists in a five-set victory over Oakland City, and finished the week averaging almost eight assists per set in the two wins.

Defender of the Week
Camille McIntosh, Shawnee State | So. - Outside Hitter - Urbana, Ohio
McIntosh had a massive week up front defensively for the Bears, tallying 14 total blocks (five solo) in a 3-0 weekend for Shawnee State that kept the Bears alive in the RSC East Division Championship race. WV Tech, Rio Grande and UC-Clermont were held to .128, .171 and -.022 attack percentages, respectively due to McIntosh's work at the net.

Men's Soccer Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
George Spencer, Midway | Jr. - Forward - Yeovil, England
Spencer keyed a dominant week for the Midway offense with three goals and a 100 percent shot on goal success rate. He scored in Midway's critical 4-1 win over Shawnee State on Thursday, then added two goals on Saturday as the Eagles clinched the five seed in the RSC Tournament.

Defensive Player of the Week
Luka Felix, WVU Tech | Sr. - Goalkeeper - Portugal
Felix earned his 10th shutout of the season, recording two saves and organizing a back line that allowed only two shots on goal across 90 minutes. Behind his leadership, WVU Tech posted its 13th straight win and 16th straight match unbeaten, finishing conference play with a 0.70 GAA and one of the NAIA's stingiest defenses.

Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Allana Colen Porto, Brescia | Jr. - Midfielder - Contagem, Brazil
Colen Porto scored twice in Brescia's season-ending victory over the Pomeroys of St. Mary-of-the-Woods. She scored what proved to be the game-winning goal, helping the Bearcats finish the regular season with a winning record, 6-4, in RSC play.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kailee Moore, IU Kokomo | Sr. - Goalkeeper - Noblesville, Indiana
Senior goalkeeper Kailee Moore was stellar once again, guiding the Cougars to a 1-0-1 week and securing the No. 2 seed in the RSC Championship. She turned away 11 of 12 shots on goal in Thursday's draw at IU East, then recorded a clean sheet Saturday by saving all seven Shawnee State shots on goal to close out the regular season with a shutout win.
