OXFORD, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.
All awards represent contests played from Monday, December 1 through Sunday, December 7.
Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Offensive Player of the Week
Trey Robertson, Rio Grande | Sr. - Guard - Waverly, Ohio
Robertson did everything in a win over Midway. The senior guard scored 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds in a 71-64 victory over the RedStorm. He also dished out six assists and swiped three steals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Bailey Temming, IU Southeast | Fr. - Center - Franklin, Ohio
Temming continued to be a force inside, leading the Grenadiers in games against Cumberlands and IU Kokomo. The freshman center grabbed 15 rebounds, blocked 5 shots and grabbed 2 steals on the week, and played a role in a key conference victory for the Grenadiers.

Cadence Stewart, WVU Tech | Jr. - Guard - Ronceverte, West Virginia
Stewart led all scorers with 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting and a blistering 5-of-8 from three, powering WVU Tech’s 75–56 road win at Ohio Christian. She accounted for more than a third of Tech’s total scoring.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sophia Kline, Rio Grande | Jr. - Forward - Sugar Grove, Ohio
Kline had 17 defensive rebounds, two steals and four blocked shots in a pair of wins, as the RedStorm knocked off Midway and Carolina. Kline posted a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds against Midway, then added 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Cale Webb, IU Kokomo | So. - Indianapolis, Indiana
Cale is currently ranked first in the conference and first in the nation after punching his ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships in the program's first meet of the season. He completed the racewalk at the MSJ Fall Preview in 15:53.18.
Male Field Athlete of the Week
Jerahmia Smith, SMWC | Sr. - Phoenix, Arizona
Jerahmia Smith, who smashed his own school record in the men's shot put with a 16.41-meter (53-10.25) throw that met the NAIA "B" Standard at Saturday's Fightin' Engineers Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman. Smith's throw, achieved on his fourth attempt, was the best mark by any SMWC athlete in program history and one of the top early-season performances in the NAIA
Female Track Athlete of the Week
Jaci Stone, St. Mary-of-the-Woods | Sr. - Jasonville, Indiana
Jaci Stone powered the Pomeroys with three top-two finishes, highlighted by breaking the facility record in the 60-meter dash (8.03). Stone also won the long jump (4.92m) and finished runner-up in the 200 meters (27.40).
