MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.
All awards represent contests played from Monday, January 27 through Sunday, February 2.
Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Shon Tupuola, St. Mary-of-the-Woods | So. - Center - Brownsburg, Indiana
Shon Tupuola broke his own single-game school record with 26 rebounds -- including 17 on the defensive side in the 79-55 road win over IU-East . He averaged 15.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per game over the week. The sophomore had a block and a steal in the home win over Brescia and came back with a pair of blocks at IU-East to total one steal and three blocks over the two victories.
Offensive Player of the Week
Noah Harris, IU Kokomo | Sr. - Forward - Noblesville, Indiana
Noah Harris led the Cougars to a 2-0 week, giving the Cougars a three-game win-streak to improve to 7-5 in RSC play. Harris recorded a pair of double-doubles on the week, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Southeast before totaling 24 points and 11 boards in a road victory Saturday at Midway.

Defensive Player of the Week
Cianna Gloster, Shawnee State | Sr. - Forward - Flint, Michigan
Gloster continued a terrific season by pouring in a career-high 30 points against West Virginia Tech on 13-23 FG and adding in 14 rebounds, seven steals and a block to boot in a 79-49 victory over the Golden Bears. For the week, Gloster averaged 23.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, five steals and a block on 54.3 percent shooting.
Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Farris, IU East | So. - Guard - Oxford, Ohio
Farris averaged a double-double on the week for the Red Wolves, logging 26.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in contests against Alice Lloyd and St. Mary-of-the-Woods. The sophomore guard scored 28 points with 16 rebounds in Tuesday's narrow loss to Alice Lloyd, then added 25 points, six assists, and five rebounds in a win over the Pomeroys.

Male Track Athlete of the Week
Isaiah Lanoy, Shawnee State | So. - Lancaster, Ohio
Shawnee State standout running talent Isaiah Lanoy posted two NAIA National 'B' Standard marks in back-to-back days at the Fourth Annual Jud Logan Light Giver Meet at Ashland University -- setting two national top-10 times in the distance medley relay (Friday) and the 3,000 meter run (Saturday).
Male Field Athlete of the Week
Gabe Wedmore, IU Kokomo | Jr. - Summitville, Indiana
Gabe Wedmore continued his strong indoor season, winning shot put with another "B" standard toss of 15.88 meters, while finishing fourth In weight throw with a mark of 16.31 meters. Wedmore is currently the RSC leader in the weight throw, and ranks second in the shot put.
Female Track Athlete of the Week
Mackenzie Rohde, IU East | Fr. - Hamilton, Ohio
Rohde ran twice on the campus of Grand Valley State on Saturday, competing in the 400 meter run, as well as the 4x400 meter relay. The freshman clocked in at 1:02.32 in the 400 meter run, then helped the Red Wolves to a silver medal finish in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:09.68.
Female Field Athlete of the Week
Sydney Duncan, IU Kokomo | So. - Anderson, Indiana
Duncan delivered another strong performance over the weekend, winning Shot Put with an "A" standard throw before breaking the school record in Weight Throw and finishing fifth. This meet featured a strong field, including multiple NCAA DI competitors. Duncan leads the RSC in both events, and is first in the nation in shot put and 10th in the nation in weight throw.

Attacker of the Week
Arthur Barreto, IU East | Jr. - Outside Hitter - Sao Paolo, Brazil
Barreto averaged 4.36 kills per set to help IU East win its first match in school history, a three-set victory over Calumet. The junior logged 48 kills over eleven sets, including a high of 19 kills in four sets against Calvin. The junior outside hitter averaged at least four kills per set in each of the Red Wolves' four matches on the week.
Setter of the Week
Kristofers Klavins, St. Mary-of-the-Woods | Fr. - Setter - Riga, Latvia
In two matches played, recorded 34 set assists in the win at Westminster (Mo.) and came back with 31 more in the win over Saint Ambrose (Iowa). Klavins added seven kills with two service aces, 15 digs and four total blocks. The freshman had five kills with 34 set assists and 12 digs and Westminster and came back with 31 set assists, two kills and four total blocks versus Saint Ambrose.
Defender of the Week
Yammiel Martinez, St. Mary-of-the-Woods | Jr. - Middle Hitter - Bayamon, Puerto Rico
Martinez continues to produce at the net with 15 total blocks in the Pomeroys three wins this week. Martinez tallied nine kills with six digs and five total blocks at Westminster (Ohio). He then came back with six total blocks and three digs in the win over Culver-Stockton with seven kills and added four total blocks and kills in the win over Saint Ambrose.

Griffin Taylor, Brescia | Sr. - Outfielder - Fox Lake, Illinois
Taylor went nuclear in the first game of a series against Southeastern Baptist, going 4-5 at the plate with 3 doubles, a homerun, 5 RBIs, and 10 total bases. He went 5-7 the rest of the series with three RBIs and another double, leading the Bearcats to a series sweep of Southeastern Baptist.
Pitcher of the Week
Jesse Komoroski, Midway | Gr. - Pitcher - Memphis, Tennessee
Despite suffering a hard-luck loss, Komoroski was excellent against No. 6 Reinhardt, allowing just one unearned run in six innings of work against the No. 6 team in the country. The grad student went toe-to-toe with two Reinhardt pitchers who were voted to the Preseason All-American team, and has a 0.82 ERA through two starts this season.
Softball Players of the Week
Player of the Week
Gabby Adams, Rio Grande | Jr. - First Base - Grove City, Ohio
Adams had four multi-hit outings to begin the season, as Rio Grande started the season 4-0. The junior also had an extra-base hit in every game, including a grand slam home run in her first at bat of the season against Brewton-Parker. Adams drove in three or more runs in three of the four games.
Pitcher of the Week
Madi Ogden, Rio Grande | Sr. - Pitcher - Williamsburg, Ohio
Ogden was dominant in the circle in wins over Brewton-Parker and Spartanburg Methodist at the Cola Classic. The senior pitcher allowed just three hits and an unearned run in a pair of RedStorm victories, while walking four and striking out 25 in 13 innings of work.
