MIDDLETOWN, Ohio- The River States Conference is pleased to announce the selections for the 2025 River States Conference Men's Tennis All-Conference Teams.
The first team consists of six players, with seven selected to the second team due to a tie. Five players round out the 18 honored athletes as third team selections. The teams are selected via a vote of conference head coaches. Individual awards will be announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The regular season champions from Oakland City University lead all schools in the All-Conference selections, placing six players on the All-Conference teams. Oakland City claimed three of the six spots on the first team, and added one more on the second team and two more on the third. Brescia, Midway, and IU Southeast claimed the other three spots on the first team, representing the teams that placed second, third, and fourth in the conference standings.
In total, Brescia and Midway tied for second in the conference with four selections, with both schools adding two second teamers and a third teamer to their first team selection. IU East placed two players on the second team, while both IU Southeast and Shawnee State had one honoree - IU Southeast's Keith Asplund on the first team and Shawnee State's Daniel Cristobal Cervantes on the third team.
Each of the conference's six teams will head to Evansville, Indiana this weekend for the 2025 River States Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. The winner of the tournament, which has quarterfinal and semifinal rounds scheduled for Friday and the championship match slated for Saturday, will earn the RSC's automatic berth into the NAIA Tournament, which begins May 13 in its usual location of Mobile, Alabama.
