CHILLICOTHE, Ohio- The River States Conference announced the 2025 River States Conference baseball All-Conference selections and awards winners Thursday night, during the first day of competition at the 2025 RSC Baseball Tournament at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. The league unveiled its All-Conference and gold glove teams, and awarded the league's four major awards for Player, Pitcher, Freshman, and Coach of the Year. Each All-Conference selection and award winner is selected via a vote of the league's coaches.

The regular season champions from Oakland City led the way on the All-Conference teams, with 12 Mighty Oaks earning selection. Six Mighty Oaks were named to the first team, which tied IU Southeast for the most players on the top team. The Grenadiers and the Eagles of Midway University tied for second in the league with eight All-Conference selections. Shawnee State followed with six, while five players from IU Kokomo were honored. The All-Conference teams, consisting of 17 first and second team selections and 15 third team selections, were rounded out by three each from Rio Grande and WVU Tech and two each from Brescia and IU Columbus. The league also honored the top defensive players at each position as Gold Glove recipients.

The award for the conference's top player was given to IU Southeast's Logan Beard. A transfer from the University of Louisville, Beard burst onto the scene in the River States Conference, hitting .362 with eight home runs and 53 runs batted in. The Goshen, Kentucky native reached base in nearly half of his plate appearances with a .487 on-base percentage, and logged a .624 slugging percentage. Beard also was one of the top defensive infielders in the conference, making just three errors in 173 chances to earn Gold Glove recognition at second base.

Oakland City's Mick Uebelhor was honored as the 2025 RSC Pitcher of the Year. The sophomore from Huntingburg, Indiana dominated opposing hitters this season, striking out 84 hitters in 61.1 innings and posting a 3.08 earned run average. Uebelhor picked up five victories during the 2025 season, and held opposing hitters to a .218 batting average against. Four of his five wins came in conference play,  where the sophomore struck out 61 hitters in 42.2 innings.

The coaches selected IU Southeast's Luca Sandrella as the top freshman in the league. A first team All-RSC selection, Sandrella was one of the top arms for the Grenadiers. The righthander posted a 3.62 earned run average across 54.2 innings of work, striking out 43 hitters to just 13 walks. He logged a win-loss record of 6-1, and did not allow more than three earned runs in any of his starts this season. Sandrella logged at least five innings in all but one of his conference starts, and exited three of his conference starts with just one earned run allowed.

As selected by his peers, the 2025 RSC Baseball Coach of the Year award was given to Oakland City's Andy Lasher. Lasher led the Mighty Oaks to their first River States Conference regular season championship since joining the league in 2021. The Mighty Oaks went 20-3 in conference play, and enter play in Chillicothe with a 36-13 overall record. Lasher is in his fifth season as the leader of the Oakland City program.

The 2025 River States Conference baseball tournament began Thursday in Chillicothe, Ohio. The tournament is scheduled to continue through Sunday afternoon, with the winner of the tournament earning the league's automatic bid to the NAIA Opening Round later in May.
