KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ella Brooks of IU Southeast (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week following a series of outstanding performances that left opponents in her wake. The Carmel, Indiana native helped her team secure three consecutive sweeps against Oakland City (Ind.), Brescia (Ky.), and Georgetown (Ky.).
Brooks recorded a remarkable 43 kills over the three matches, averaging an impressive 5.38 kills per set. Her offensive efficiency was on full display as she maintained a hitting percentage of .348.
In the match against Oakland City on September 16, Brooks registered 15 kills with a .433 hitting percentage. She also contributed six digs and one block assist, accumulating 16.5 points for her team.
The momentum continued against Brescia on September 19, where Brooks added another 14 kills to her weekly tally. Despite facing a tougher defense, she managed to maintain her impact with a .241 hitting percentage. Her performance was crucial in the team's 3-0 victory.
Brooks saved her best for last in the match against Georgetown on September 20, where she dominated with 14 kills at an astounding 7.00 kills per set. Her precision and power were unmatched, as she finished with a .367 hitting percentage. Brooks also contributed three digs and one solo block, earning 15 points and leading her team to another straight-set win.
