OXFORD, Ohio- The River States Conference is pleased to announce the selections for the 2026 River States Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Teams.

As spelled out in River States Conference by-laws, ten players are voted to the first, second, and third teams. The teams are selected via a vote of conference head coaches. Individual awards will be announced by the conference office on Friday.

The Bears of Shawnee State University, fresh off a 15-1 mark in conference play, led all schools with six overall selections. The Bears had one first team selection in Jason Steele, and added three second team selections and two third team picks.

Three schools placed two players on the first team, with Indiana University Kokomo, Indiana University Southeast, and the University of Rio Grande all earning multiple spots on the top team. Kentucky Christian University and St. Mary-of-the-Woods College also joined the Cougars, Grenadiers, and RedStorm with three selections overall.

Eleven of the 12 River States Conference schools placed at least one player on the three All-Conference teams, with ten schools earning multiple selections.

Additionally, the RSC is also proud to announce the athletes recognized as their program's Champion of Character. Each team in each River States Conference sponsored sport is asked to nominate one athlete as their Champion of Character. These student-athletes best represent the NAIA’s Champions of Character program and its five core values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship.

The 2026 River States Conference Tournament continues Saturday with two semifinal games. Shawnee State will host IU Southeast at 2:00 p.m., while IU Kokomo will welcome Rio Grande at 3:00 p.m. The RSC championship game will be played Tuesday night at the home gym of the highest remaining divisional seed.
