OXFORD, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.
All awards represent contests played from Monday, August 31 through Sunday, September 6.
Women's Volleyball Players of the Week
Attacker of the Week
Mya Grigsby, IU Kokomo | Junior - Outside Hitter - Greenfield, Indiana
Averaging 5.79 kills per set and 3.79 digs per set while hitting .340 and recording three double-doubles, Mya Grigsby put together a dominant weekend in helping lead IU Kokomo to a 3-1 record. The junior totaled 81 kills, 53 digs, nine blocks, five service aces and 90 total points across just 14 sets, while also surpassing 1,000 career kills to become the fastest player in IU Kokomo program history to reach the milestone.
Setter of the Week
Lydia Steyer, Rio Grande | Junior - Setter - Perrysburg, Ohio
Steyer was Rio's offensive conduit in a 3-1 week, which included a straight sets victory over previously unbeaten Tennessee Wesleyan. She averaged over 10 assists per set in foyr matches, including a high of 54 assists in four sets against Defiance.
Defender of the Week
Gracie Perkins, Rio Grande | Sophomore - Middle Blocker - Wheelersburg, Ohio
Perkins was big at the net for the RedStorm - particularly in day two - of the Emileigh Jo Cooper Memorial Classic. The sophomore racked up 21 blocks across four matches, led by nine in a win over Madonna and another six in a sweep of Michigan-Dearborn.

Offensive Player of the Week
Joost Hermeling, WVU Tech | Freshman - Forward - Rastede, Germany
Hermeling scored both goals for WVU Tech in a 2-2 road draw at Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday. The freshman converted both of his shots on goal, accounting for all four of the Golden Bears’ points in the match.
Defensive Player of the Week
Samy Hamou, Rio Grande | Sophomore - Goalkeeper - Paris, France
Hamou wins the RSC Defensive Player of the Week award for the third week in a row. The Frenchman stopped both of the shots on frame that he faced in clean sheet effort against 10th-ranked Lindsey Wilson, leading the way in Rio Grande's 3-0 win over the Blue Raiders.

Stephanie Beaulieu, Rio Grande | Sophomore - Forward - Morrow, Ohio
Beaulieu wins the award for the second consecutive week, thanks to scoring her Second consecutive hat trick - plus an assist - in a road win over Johnson University. She is now ranked second nationally in goals and fourth in points after the performance.
Defensive Player of the Week
Abigayle Moore, Kentucky Christian | Sophomore - Goalkeeper - Richmond, Kentucky
Moore was outstanding in a pair of matches this past week for Kentucky Christian. The sophomore kept the Knights close in Tuesday's match against Asbury, making eleven saves in a 2-0 defeat. She then posted a clean sheet in KCU's 3-0 victory over Grace Christian on Saturday.

Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Carson Milner, Midway | Senior - Walton, Kentucky
Milner opened the 2026 season with a runner-up finish at the IWU Twilight Invitational, placing second out of 237 runners with a 6K time of 18:33.7. Competing in a field featuring several nationally ranked programs, including No. 1 Cumberlands and No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan, Milner finished just 1.4 seconds behind the individual champion and defeated runners from some of the top programs in the NAIA.
Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Laura Hamm, Rio Grande | Junior - South Point, Ohio
Hamm helped Rio Grande post a season-opening second place finish against a solid field of competitors at the Indiana Wesleyan Twilight. Hamm was the top River States runner in the field, crossing the finish line of the 5k course in 19:06.4
Golfers of the Week
Men's Golfer of the Week
Braden Tedder, IU East | Junior - Centerville, Indiana
Tedder claimed individual medalist honors at the IU East Fall Invitational, held at Highland Lake Golf Course in Richmond. The junior shot a two-under 70 in the first round, followed by a four-under 68 in the second before winning the title in a playoff over Bethel's Earl Williams.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Renae Jaeger, SMWC | Senior - Kalamazoo, Michigan
Jaeger led the Pomeroys with a sixth-place finish at the IU East Invitational at Highland Lake Golf Course. Jaeger opened the 36-hole tournament with a 2-over-par 74, highlighted by an eagle, before carding a 77 in the final round. She finished with a two-day total of 151, only six strokes behind the individual champion, in a field featuring golfers from 15 teams. Jaeger’s performance helped the Pomeroys improve by five strokes during the final round and finish 10th overall.
