Spectator Information:
$5 per person per day, CASH ONLY! Doors open at 2 PM on Friday and 8:00 AM on Saturday for spectators.
Entries:
Each team may enter four (4) individuals per event and all four may score. Events requiring multiple heats/flights will be seeded based on valid entry marks from the official conference performance list via DA/TFRRS of the current indoor season. Any entries without a valid mark from the official performance list must be entered as NM, NH, or NT.
Scoring:
Will follow River States Conference bylaws. Top 8 places will receive points. 1st- 10pts, 2nd- 8 pts, 3rd- 6 pts, 4th- 5 pts, 5th-4 pts, 6th-3 pts, 7th- 2 pts, 8th- 1 pt. All entries may score.
Seeding:
Standard NCAA seeding and advancement from prelims to finals will be used for all events. Entrants with no marks are seeded in the slower heat(s) at random.
Awards:
The top 3 individuals will be declared All-Conference. Conference Champions will be the first-place individual and relay team per event. The awards stand will be located on the turf behind the Clerking tent
Facility Information
Track:
• 200m Mondo Super-X
• 6 lanes (36"), 8 lane sprint straight (42"). (All 8 lanes will be used in 55m hurdles)
• Horizontal jump runway is Mondo.
• Pole vault runway is instant runway. 1/4" spikes are permitted on the instant runway. Lowest setting for the PV standards will be 7-06.00. The bar cannot start lower than 7-06.00.
• High jump apron is Mondo (Sportsflex).
• Throwing events will be from wood.
• There are three in-ground triple jump boards available for competition at the following distances from the pit: 28 ft. - 36 ft. - 41 ft. Warm-ups may occur on lanes 4, 5 & 6 on the back side of the track when doing so will not obstruct the running of races.
Running:
55m Dash and 55m Hurdles will have prelims and finals (if numbers justify)
One Heat Final of 8 runners
The 200m/400m races will only use lanes 6-5-4-3.
The Race Walk will have both races conducted separately. Per our conference guidelines the Race Walk has a designated cut-off time based off 67% of the NAIA B Standard and rounded: Women: 27:00 and Men: 24:00. All other events are timed finals
Starting Blocks:
Gill Fusion starting blocks are provided by the facility. If you bring your own starting blocks, they may only have 1/4” spike penetration and must be approved before using.
Relay Cards:
Relay cards are located in your coach’s packets and should be turned into the
clerk not later than the final call.
Jumping:
See facility above for specification and jumping boards
There will be Three attempts with top nine (9) to finals for three more attempts
Throws:
Weight Throw: Wooden circle with cage.
Shot Put: Wood circle
Three throws with the top nine (9) throwers to finals
Weigh-in will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on Friday. Weigh-In will be 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Saturday. Implements that do not meet specification will be impounded until after the event concludes. All approved implements will be delivered to the event by officials. The implement inspection area is near the storage area at the start of the 300.
Spikes:
• Only 1/4" or less Pyramid or Christmas Tree spikes will be allowed.
• NO Pins or Needle Spikes will be allowed.
• The clerk will be checking spike length just before the races. If your athlete is in violation of this rule, he/she will not be allowed to participate.
Timing:
Finish Lynx timing is being done by Tri State Racer Timing Group. Coaches and student-athletes are not to bother the timers during the meet. If there is an issue contact the meet referee.
NO FOOD/DRINKS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TURF or TRACK SURFACE.
This includes the team areas! Water is permitted in the event areas.
