River States Players of the Week - November 24-30, 2025

OXFORD, Ohio - The River States Conference is pleased to announce the Player of the Week honorees for the past week.

All awards represent contests played from Monday, November 24 through Sunday, November 30.

Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Dior Davis, Oakland City | Sr. - Guard - Manhattan, New York
Davis averaged 24.5 points per game, as Oakland City picked up two wins in Kingsport at The Show. The Manhattan native shot 56.3 percent from the field and scored 21 points in a Friday win over Columbia, then added 28 points in a Saturday win over Faulkner, where he also added six rebounds and five assists.

Defensive Player of the Week
Lohan Stephane Djiya, Oakland City | Jr. - Center - Yaoundé, Cameroon
The 6-8 junior center was a force in the paint at The Show this past weekend, helping the Mighty Oaks to victories over Columbia and Faulkner. The Cameroon native blocked ten shots against Faulkner on Saturday, and pulled down six rebounds. He also added three rebounds and three blocks in a Friday win over Columbia.

Women's Basketball Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Miyoshi Ellis, Shawnee State | Sr. - Guard - Harlem, New York
Ellis was a dynamic playmaker and scorer through Shawnee State's road trip to Florida over Thanksgiving Weekend. Ellis put up 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block -- scoring 12 of her 23 points in a 27-6 second quarter swing by Shawnee State that led to SSU's 12-point win over Warner. Ellis then followed that up with an even better performance against No. 23 Southeastern, scoring 20 of her career-high 26 points in the second half.

Defensive Player of the Week
Skylar Kesler, Shawnee State | Fr. - Center - Cincinnati, Ohio
Kesler was a defensive stalwart in Shawnee State's trip to Florida over the weekend, helping hold Warner (Fla.) to 32.8 percent shooting and forcing 21 turnovers with her three-block, two-steal performance on the defensive end of the floor. The freshman then followed that up by grabbing 15 rebounds (12 defensive), including the defensive board with 17 seconds left that ultimately led to Miyoshi Ellis' game-winning layup on Shawnee State's final offensive possession with three seconds remaining in the game against No. 23 Southeastern
