OXFORD, Ohio- The River States Conference is pleased to announce the selections for the 2026 River States Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams.
The first team and second teams consist of six players each. Seven players are placed on the third team, due to a tie in voting, to round out the 19 overall All-Conference selections. The teams are selected via a vote of conference head coaches. Individual awards will be announced by the conference office on Thursday at the RSC Tournament awards ceremony.
The league's top team, the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City led the league with six All-Conference selections, including two first teamers. The first team was split evenly between three teams, with Oakland City, Brescia, and Midway all earning two spots. Both the Bearcats and the Eagles finished with three overall selections, with both schools adding a third team selection.
IU Southeast joined Brescia and Midway with three All-Conference selections, with all three picks named to the second team. The final four selections were split between IU East and IU Kokomo, with both the Red Wolves and Cougars placing one player on the second team and another on the third team.
Additionally, the RSC is also proud to announce the athletes recognized as their program's Champion of Character. Each team in each River States Conference sponsored sport is asked to nominate one athlete as their Champion of Character. These student-athletes best represent the NAIA’s Champions of Character program and its five core values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship.
Six of the conference's seven teams will head to Evansville, Indiana this weekend for the 2026 River States Conference Women's Tennis Tournament. The winner of the tournament, which has quarterfinal rounds on Thursday, semifinal matches on Friday, and the championship match on Saturday, will earn the RSC's automatic berth into the NAIA Tournament, which begins May 12 in its usual location of Mobile, Alabama.
